Goldie Evans Adkins, 79, of Grethel, died Saturday, December 14, at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 17, at the Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery, Grethel, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Sadie Bakay, 85, of Weeksbury, died Tuesday, December 17, at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 20, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Stacia Paige Collins, 2, of Betsy Layne, died at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital, Thursday, December 12, of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 16, at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church at Honaker. Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nora Holton, 37, died Friday, December 13, at the McDowell A.R.H. Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 16, under the direction of Burke Funeral Home.

Della Lizziebeth Kidd, 80, of Honaker, died Tuesday, December 17, at her residence. Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 20, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Cordellia Marie Morris, 57, of Prestonsburg, formerly of Inez, died Wednesday, December 19. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 21, under the direction of Phelps & Son Funeral Home.

Palestine (Newsom) Newsome, 75, of Carpenter Road, Ashtabula, native of McDowell, died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 15, at Ashtabula County Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Chester Newsome. A service was held Wednesday, December 18, at the Lily of the Valley Old Regular Baptist Church, S.R. 84 and Kiwanis Park Drive, Geneva. Burial was in Ridgeview Cemetery. Ducro Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Joe Wheeler Stanley, 69, of Prestonsburg, died Monday, December 16, at the Riverview Health Care Center in Prestonsburg. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, December 19, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Dr. Margaret Lewis, 54, of Prestonsburg, director of Morehead State University’s center at Prestonsburg, died Wednesday afternoon, December 4, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Morehead. Mikey Little, 80, of Wheelwright, died Tuesday, December 10, at McDowell ARH, following an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 14, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Shyann Paige Pratt, daughter of James Arthur and Kathy Michelle Pratt of Pippa Passes, was stillborn Thursday, December 12, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
