Kayleann RaeLynn Ambrose

Age 11 days, of Allen, Ky., the daughter of Shannon Ambrose and Crystal Gail McCown Ambrose, passed away Friday, December 9, 2005 in the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Lexington, Ky. She was born November 7, 2005 in Lexington, Ky. Survivors include beside her parents two brothers, Curtis Leslie and Seth Laffertyof Allen, Ky., one sister, Lindsey Ambrose, of Allen, Ky., Paternal Grandparents, Ann and Ted Ambrose, Step-grandfather, Danny Rudder and Wayne Wright. Preceding her in death were her grandmother, the late Brabara Wright. Funeral services for KayLeann Raelynn Ambrose will be conducted Monday, December 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with J.M. Sloce officiating. Ruby Gayheart

Age 84, of Prestonsburg, Ky., widow of Haig Gayheart, passed away Thursday, December 08,. 2005, at The Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born May 29, 1921 in Gunlock, Ky., the daughter of the late Willie Shepherd and Martha Howard Shepherd. Mrs. Gayheart was a homemaker and a member of The Trimble chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Herb Gayheart, Scottsville, Ky., a daughter, Amilee Auxier, Prestonsburg, Ky., two sisters Marie Conley and Sallie Salisbury both of Gunlock, Kentucky. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, a son, Homer Ray Gayheart, three brothers, John Shepherd, Ellis Shepherd, and Silas Shepherd, and two sisters, Minnie Johnson and Effie Crager. Funeral services for Ruby Gayheart will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with the Officiating. William Gibson, Jr.

Age 67 of McDowell, Ky. passed from this life onMonday, December 12, 2005 in Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky. He was born January 11, 1938 at Wheelwright, Ky. the son of The late William Gibson, Sr. and Eirdie Waddles Gibson. He was emplyed by McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital. Age 92 of Grethel, Ky. passed from this life on Saturday, December 12, 2005 in the McDowell Appalachian Hospital. She was born December 4, 1912 at Grethel, Ky. the daughter of the late Ben and Martha Hamilton Tackett.She was a homemaker and a Member of the Zion Regular Baptist Church at Grethel, Ky. She is survived by: One Son, Drexel Hall of Ivel, Ky. and One Daughter, Lois Gayle Newsome of Grethel, Ky. 20 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren & 7 Step Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Curt Hall, Seven sons, Comus (Tony) Hall, Hershel Hall, Ronald Gene Hall, Carlos (Cotton) Hall, Don Edward (Donnie) Hall, Carmel Hall & Winford Hall. Frank M. Heinze

Age 81 of Prestonsburg, Ky., passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 in the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Ky. He was born January 29, 1924 in Prestonsburg, Ky., the son of the later Frederick Luther Heinze and Ethel Gravely Heinze. Mr. Heinze was a graduate of West Virginia University, Morgantown, W. VA., were he received a degree in Mine Engineering in 1950, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Prestonsburg, Ky., he worked for many years for Turner-Elkhorn Coal Co., prior to college he entered the Army/Air Force was a stationed on the island of Guam in South Pacific, he was very active in the community and county, he believe in hard work and fair play and was committed to honesty. Survivors include a nephew, John G. Heinze, Jr., Prestonsburg, Ky., two nieces, Gretchen Moyer, Muncy PA., and Lisa Cantrell, Ezel, Ky. Funeral services for Frank M. Heinze will be conducted Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, Prestonsburg, Ky., with clergyman Michael Chamberlian officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m., Monday here at the Funeral Home.

Gobel P. Martin

Age, 72, of Minnie, husband of Wilma Martin, died Monday, December 12, 2005, at his home. He was the son of Edith and the late Charlie Martin of Minnie. He was the father of Lance (Beth) Martin of Whitehouse, Ohio, Wade (Jami) Martin of Minnie, and Freddi (Terry) Tuttle of McDowell. He is survived by two sisters: Matifern (Henry) Wright and Priscilla (Kenneth) Henry, both of Minnie; one brother, Demoris (Teresa) Martin of Monticello; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gobel was a loving husband, father, and family man. He was a local businessman, as well as an integral part of the community, and the Left Beaver Fire and Rescue Squad. Funeral services for Gobel P. Martin will be conducted Thursday, December 15, at 11 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Clergymen Jimmy Hall, Ted Shannon, and Harry Hargis officiating. Donnie Meade

Age 58 of Drift, Ky. passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2005 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born May 12, 1947 at Martin, Kentucky the son of Betty Showers Meade of Langley, Ky. and the late Donald Meade. He was retired from the Kentucky State Department of Transportation. He is survived by is mother, Betty Wood Showers Meade of Langley, Ky. and One Sister, Toni Ann Meade Bailey of Langley, Ky. Rosie Campbell Ousley

Age 93, of Martin, Ky., widow of Oscar Ousley, passed away Wednesday, December 07, 2005, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born March 06, 1912 in Hippo, Ky., the daughter of the late James Campbell and Jennie Prater Campbell. Mrs. Ousley was a homemaker and member of the Cold Springs Regular Baptist Church, Martin, Kentucky. Survivors include four sons, Miley Ousley, Claypool In., Beecher Ousley, Delano Ousley, and Dormal Ousley all of Martin, Ky., three daughters, Mavis Spriggs Hicks, Eastern, Ky., Alma Jean Kost, Cleveland, Oh., Bonnie Condra, Winchester, Ky., one sister, Rebecca Templin, Newport, Tn., 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, one son, Corneluis Ousley, four brothers, Hargis Campbell, Herald Campbell, Earl Campbell and Curtis Campbell. Funeral services for Rosie Campbell Ousley will be conducted Sunday, December 11, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cold Springs Regular Baptist Church, Martin, Ky., with the Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Ruth Lea Roope

Age 80, of Marion, Ohio, passed away early Christmas morning, December 25, 2005, at Heartland of Marion Nursing Center. Born in Wayland, on February 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Kathryn (Weddington) Martin. She married Paul V. Roope on February 23, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara Lane Roope; four brothers; and two sisters. Ruth was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge, and American Legion Post 584. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very unique and loving woman. Surviving are her four daughters: Sharon Kay (Ivan) Harmon of Marion, Anna (Ron) Green of Canton, Beverly (Dan) Barr of Marion, and Paula (Carl) Sizemore of Marion; seven grandchildren: Ryan Harmon, Matthew (Shelley) Green, Brian (Nicole) Green, Paul Cunningham, Kimberly (Scott) Rife, Scott E. Stephens, and Chad Stephens; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 29, at 11 a.m., at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home, with Pastor Bobby Layne officiating. Burial was in the Marion Cemetery. Visitation was at the funeral home. French Preston Spencer

Age 80, of Vermilion, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, December 8, 2005, in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, in Lorain, Ohio. He was born November 24, 1925, in Eastern, the son of the late Alex and Katie Turner Spencer. He had lived in Vermilion, Ohio, for 41 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. As a Seaman First Class, he served from 1944-1946. He spent a year in Norfolk, Virginia, transporting troops to various parts of Europe, and then the Panama Canal, at the Fleet Airwing Base. He received the American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal. He was employed in Maintenance at General Motors in Brookpark, retiring in 1980, after 30 years service. He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Most people knew him as the inventor. He had a passion for gardening, and enjoyed current events. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dorothy Riddle Spencer; three sons: Rick Spencer of Rockwood, Michigan, Michael Spencer of Vermilion, Ohio, and Randy Spencer of Avon, Ohio; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; five step-children: David Riddle of Amherst, Ohio, Debbie DeLeonardis of Austin, Texas, Rose Jones of Lorain, Ohio, Rick Riddle of Morehead, and Terry Riddle of Morehead, and Terry Riddle of Lorain, Ohio; six step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Agnes Dilling of Southgate, and Nancy Bailey of Langley; one brother, Alex Spencer of Van Lear; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeff Spencer in 1957; a sister, Marie Spencer; and two brothers; Ralph Spencer and Hewen Spencer. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 13, at 11 a.m., in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Martin, with Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery, in Eastern, under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home. Visitation was at the funeral home.
