Age 96, of Prestonsburg, died June 23,1997. Born April 6,1901 in Greenup, KY s/o Will & Annie Archey Woodrow, Survivors include wife Marie Johnson Woodrow one son Aulden E. Woodrow of Galion, Ohio; five daughters Freda Hooper, Sharon K. Lawson, Cynthia A. Herandez, Januari A Cooley, Glenda F. Suiter. Burial at Davidson Memorial Gardens At Ivel, KY US 23.
Age 66, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died June 22, 1997. Born Aug. 26, 1930 At Beaver, KY, d/o Kennis and Frankie Mullins Hamilton. Preceded in death by husband Andy Hamilton, in 1993. Survivors include One daughter Joyce Newsome, four sisters; Jean Vance, Ival Newsome, Genene Slone, Flossie Hall. Three brothers; Ishmael Hamilton, Odra Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton. Burial was in the Saybrook Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio.
Sammy D. Adams
Age 47, of McDowell, KY, died June 21, 1997. Born July 27, 1950 at Martin, KY, s/o Tom and Aileen Hall Adams. Survivors include wife Diana Kaye Mullins Adams, on son; Bryon David Adams, two daughters; Angela Diana Mullins, Alicia Adams, three brothers; Ronnie D. Adams, Tommy Neil Adams, Gregory D. Adams, one sister; Donna Gaye Enderby. Burial in Lucy Hall Cemetery at McDowell, KY.

Survivors include wife , Luchie Moore Robinson; seven sons, Gary Lee, Larry, Billy Jo, Cletis, Clarence, Lonnie, Jimmy O'Neal, one daughter, Benda Gale Davis; three sisters, Mary Fields, Norma Cline, Irene Griffith. Burial at the Robinson Cemetery at Pilgrim, KY.
Samuel A. Thacker
Age 71, of Wurtland, formerly of Banner, KY, died June 21, 1997. Born Jan. 8, 1926 at Banner, s/o Noah Dewey and Rose Click Thacker. He was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include wife, Maxine Laferty Thacker; one son, James B. Thacker; three daughters; Rae Adkins, Marian Adkins, Jeanie Hill; two brothers, Marion Thacker, Robert Thacker; two sisters, Geneva Crisp, Delores Mulkey; Burial in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, KY US 23.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nora Allen Justice and second wife, Nannie Marie Boyd Justice. Survivors include five sons, George J. Justice, James Howard Justice, Edward E. Justice, Paul D. Justice, William E. Damron; three daughters; Irene Adkins, Josephine Sword, Lorraine Layne; two brothers, Joe Justice, Jeff Justice; two sisters, Cora Lynch, Edna Clark. Burial was in Johnson Memorial Park.
