Bill Hall, 70, of Kite, died Monday, June 9, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Faye Hall. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 12, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Queenie P. Thornsberry, 71, of Kite, died Friday, June 6, at the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Arthur (Root) Thornsberry. Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 9, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Allen Conley, 65, of Yorktown, Virginia, formerly of Knott County, died Wednesday, May 14, following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hartzles Conley. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 17, under the direction of Peninsula Funeral Home, Newport News, Virginia.

Wesley Clemmons, 76, of Carrie, died Monday, May 19, at the Knott County Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife, Marie Smith Clemons. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 21, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.

Luther Madden, 70, of Litt Carr, died Friday, May 30, at the Hazard Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Lou Nickles Madden. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 3, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman.

Jenny Mae Ritchie, 58, of Hazard, died Wednesday, May 21, in Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 24, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman.

Opal Short, 77, of Garner, died Monday, May 26, at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington. She is survived by her husband, Agnel Short. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 29, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Emily LaPaige Spencer, infant daughter of David Spencer and Lisa Smith of Happy died Monday, May 19, at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington. Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, May 21, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.

Emogene Wright Castle, 67, of Ivel, died Monday, May 19, at home. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 22, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Ethel Mullins Hall, 77, of Topmost, died Tuesday, March 4, at Appalachian Regional Medical Center, McDowell. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Hall. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 7, under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.

Floyd W. Mullins, 59, of Fisty, died Saturday, Feb. 15, at U.K. Medical Center, Lexington. He is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Gross Embry Roberts Mullins. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 18, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Hindman.

Estill “Bub” Perkins III, 35, and his stepson, Marcus Ray Messer, 9, of Carrie, died in a fire at their residence, on Thursday, Feb. 13. They are survived by Christine Hollifield Perkins, wife and mother. Joint funeral services were conducted Sunday, Feb. 16, under direction of Hindman Funeral Services.

Ruby L. Gibson, 64, of Dayton, Ohio, native of Pippa Passes, died Thursday, January 23, at Grandview Hospital, in Dayton. She is survived by her husband, James W. Gibson. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 25, under the direction of Walter-Getts Funeral Home.

Ellen Louise Jacobs, 43, of Pine Top, died Monday, January 20, at Hall-Mark Progressive Care Center, Clarksville, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 23, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Cora Sue Patrick Robbins, 64, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Knott County, died Monday, January 20, at West Florida Hospital. She is survived by her husband, William L. “Bill” Robinson. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 26, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.

Marion Short, 76, of Ocala, Florida, native of Knott County, died Thursday, January 23, at his home. Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 27, under the direction of Hindman Funeral Services.
