Timothy Justice, 38, a native of Pike County, died Tuesday, June 3. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6, under the direction of Phelps and Sons Funeral Home.

June 9, 2003

Elzie Adkins Jr., 80, of Fife Fork, Pikeville, died Thursday, May 29, at his home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home.

Timothy Adkins, 45, of Virgie, died Wednesday, June 4, at his home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 7, under the direction of Hall and Jones Funeral Home.

Brownlo Bartley, 80, of Allen Park, Michigan, formerly of Pike County, died Wednesday, May 28, in Allen Park. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home.

Nell Belcher, 79, of Belcher, died Tuesday, June 3, at her home. She is survived by her husband, Quenton Roosevelt Belcher. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Robert V. Courtney, 60, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, May 28, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Gibson Courtney. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 31, under the direction of J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home.

Darlene Greer, 77, of Pikeville Health Care Center, formerly of Colley Hills, died Tuesday, June 3, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6, under the direction of Lucas & Hall Funeral Home.

Fannie Jenkins, 74, of Phelps, died Monday, May 26, at Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center, Phelps. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, May 29, in the Jenkins Family Cemetery, Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. Arrangements were under the direction of R.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Willie Justice, 83, of Rocky Road, Pikeville, died Tuesday, June 3. He is survived by his wife, Della Goff Justice. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6, under the direction of J.W. Call Funeral Home.

Alfred Kibiger, 93, of Virgie, died Tuesday, May 27, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Violet J. Kibiger. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 7, at 11 a.m., in the Dorton Methodist Church. Arrangements are under direction of Thacker Memorial Funeral Home.

Rickie McCoy Jr., 19, of Regina, died Tuesday, June 3, at his home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 7, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Bill Ray, 77, of Stopover, died Monday, May 26, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Verline Blankenship Ray. Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 30, under the direction of R.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

John Thornbury Jr., 49, of Canada, died Monday, June 2, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, June 5, under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.

Rudy Adkins, 47, of Fort Gay, West Virginia, native of Pike County, died Sunday, March 9, at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa. He is survived by his wife, Dianna Deskins Adkins. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 12, under the direction of Young Funeral Home.

John Will “Dude” Coleman, 80, of Kimper, died Sunday, March 9, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Cora Lee May Coleman. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 12, under the direction of Justice Funeral Home.

Crawford Hardin, 94, of Big Rock Virginia, native of Pike County, died Saturday, March 8, at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 11, under the direction of Grundy Funeral Home.

Audrey Gene “Bean Pole” Looney, 68, of Elkhorn City, died Sunday, March 9, at Pikeville Methodist Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 14, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Opal Lynch, 87, of Winchester, formerly of Pike County, died Saturday, March 8, at her home. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 11, under the direction of J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Taylor, 64, of Feds Creeek, died Monday, March 10, at her home. She is survived by her husband, Billy Taylor. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 13, under the direction of Justice Funeral Home.

Delores Blackburn, 65, of Princeton, native of Pike County, died Saturday, January 25, at the home of her son. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 28, under the direction of Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Jane Blankenship, 99, of Phelps, died Friday, January 24, at Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center, in Phelps. Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 27, under the direction of J.W. Call & Son Funeral Home.

Deloris Ann Sears Brooks, 51, of Canton Township, Michigan, native of Pikeville, died Monday, January 20, at her home. A memorial service was held Saturday, February 1, under the direction of Janowiak Funeral Home.

Thomas William Goodman Sr., 83, of Pikeville, a Floyd County native, died Monday, January 27, at the Pikeville Health Care Center. He is survived by his wife, Helena Anderson Goodman. Edwin S. Smith, 72, of Ransom, died Tuesday, January 21, at Heart of Florida Hospital, Davenport, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Christine Smith. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 26, under the direction of Hatfield Funeral Chapel.
